Chest & Shoulder Training

I haven't been in the gym a whole lot lately, so today was my first day back on a chest/shoulder workout in maybe 2 weeks or so.  I am still nursing a rotator injury as well (thanks Greg!!)  8)

(only working sets are listed - as I did about 3,700 warm up sets for my shoulder!)

Inclined Chest Press (HS Iso plate loaded machine)

55 lbs (each side) x 10

65 x 6

75 x 5

90x4 / 75x4 / 55x5 / 45x10

90x4 / 75x4 / 55x5 / 45x10

 

Machine Flies SS w/ Flat Chest Press (HS Iso plate loaded machine)

110 x 10 ss/ 45(each side) x 10

130 x 10 ss/ 70 x 10

130 x 10 ss/ 70 x 10

* These were really pushing my rotator so I had to back off a bit.

 

BB Clean & Press

85 x 10

105 x 8

125 x 5

125 x 5 / 105 x 5 / 85 x 6 / 65 x 15

 

BB Clean & Press SS w/ DB Side Laterals

85 x 15 (spurts of 5 presses for each clean) ss/ 25 db x 10

85 x 15 ss/ 25 db x 10

85 x 12 ss/ 25 db x 10

Thanks Jannette...I was totally healed up from the same injury and was at an all time high with what I was pressing, and then just got over zealous one day as I was encouraged by my training partner to go heavy on all three pressing angles...and that did it...Guess I wasnt quite as healthy as I thought.

I hear ya.  Sometimes it is not easy controlling that over zealous feeling.

Yeah, my bad!  I'm pretty sure that was the devil on my left shoulder trying to encourage my old style of training which is:  heavy, heavier, heaviest.  You are very much welcome though :).....but, I'm pretty sure you were being sarcastic.

Must say that you continue to surprise me with the weight you're able to move at your body weight.  Impressive stuff man.
