My first Figure show is this weekend, I wanted to know what others eat contest day, morning. I've heard lots about grapefruit and lean beef. Should you change your meals or keep it the same? My husband believes in the contest day Snickers, but I disagree. Any advice from you contest pros
Contest Day meal
Personally I would not eat different things as you have eaten in the weeks before during your diet. But I did not peak with Joe and his staff, so I do not know what or how they do or recommend.
I keep the base of food what clients are used to, but I also have them take other options for variety.....complex carbs, simple carbs, really simple carbs, lean protein, beef for some, higher-sodium foods....you need the right tool for the job, so it's best to have a full toolbox. It all depends on what you need at the time and how you've managed your peaking process up to that point.

Well thank goodness thats over, I was a nervous wreck, I started carbs that morning, too late I think, I looked skinny, I think I know now what works and maybe I still have some learning to do, I came in 4th out of 5,in the 35-40, at the NPC Vancouver Nationals Tanji Johnson Fitness and Figure. I know I looked so much better, fuller the week before. Oh well, it was my first show and Im glad I did not run off stage, because I really wanted to! I feel very lost now, I think I need to get mental with Kori!
