The most difficult day of the week hands down!
Over the past couple of months I haven't done much heavy squatting so I'm starting to get back into it now. The layoff was more than welcome though. In the past I've done heavy squats on a weekly basis and probably overdid it just a tad so changing up primary core leg exercises was very helpful. I was able to increase strength substantially on other exercises but as a result Squats are now 10X more difficult!! As long as my body is guessing and I'm making progress, I'm happy!
Today:
1. Barbell Squats
warmup 135: 2 X 20
warmup 225: 1 X 20, 1 X 10
warmup 315: 2 X 10
365: 3 X 5 (felt much heavier than it used to due to the layoff so didn't want to push it beyond here)
315: 1 X 15
2. Leg Extensions
warmup 235: 1 X 10
255: 1 X 10
280: 1 X 10
300: 1 X 7
280: 2 X 8, last set drop to 255 X 5, another drop to 205 X 5, another drop to 155 X 5 (FIRE!!!!)
3. Stiff Legged Deadlifts
warmup 135: 1 X 10
warmup 225: 1 X 10
315: 2 X 8
4. Seated Leg Curls
135: 1 X 10
145: 3 X 8, last set drop to 115 X 8, drop to 105 X 6, drop to 70 or so X 20.
Legs were fried at this point....called it a day.
