Just wanted to get a quick set of feed back from the folks that have been around for the evolution of this site over the years...and the new visitors as well.
What does everyone think about the new site in terms of features/functions/ ease of use...etc...

Just now checking it out. I like the look so far. What's the deal with the comments under everyone's name? Every post put up has the same comment or " Does not have status."
What's the points total for and how do you get points?
Hiya Jane...in your account page there is a field for setting a status, like you do on facebook...you can set something or not...no biggie.
The points is something that Brian and I are working on finding the right format for..but eventually the thought is that you will be able to grant someone a point when the post up something that you really like or was of value to you. You could also give negative points. This will serve as a barometer to distinguish valuable sources on here from boobheads.goof balls.
I like it. There is no doubt that this latest version is a vast improvement on the one before. I also like the design of the logo, too . . . . . special that.
What I would like to see is an online "User's Manual ". This would be where all the non obvious ( to some ) operations involved in using the forum are easily explained & can be found in one place. To be kept short & simple. Something a moron like myself can understand! You've already had 2 questions from members . . . one for the " points " aspect and one for the " status " field. I am also pretty sure that a few people don't know what is involved in loading photo's. That is one area that maybe, could still be improved ( unless it already has ).
Just my thoughts.

PS. It's funny, but since January, when Mary ( where is Mary ? Is she ok ?) and I first posted about a few problems/improvements on the last Forum, I have been thinking " Why the heck doesn't someone start addressing these?" Whoops, egg well & truly on yours truly !

I notice the "add friend" icon does not show up for me, it's an unavailable image file. Also, when posting on another thread, after the preview the comment box got smaller due to things on the right side of the page but some of my typed text went behind those things so I could not see what I was typing. IE 8.0. Is it better to use a different browser? It's doing it on this one too, let me know if you need a screen shot. (The latest status updates are over the comment box on the right side.)
