Sean's Back Training

This will likely turn into a giant sumo deadlift thread but I'll be posting up a bunch of back workouts

I promised it would be a deadlift thread sooner or later, so here is what I did for back today. Opened with deads and it was one of those days where the warmups felt heavy...so I knew it was going to be interesting. And it was. HA!

Sumo deadlift:

45 for 15

95 for 15

135 for 15

185 for 15

225 for 12

275 for 8

315 for 5

365 for 2

365 for 3

365 for 5 (all out at this point)

275 for 25 (that one put on the floor)

Close grip lat pullpdown:

3 sets of 10-12 reps with as much as I could pull at that point. I was fried.

Focus forward...

My latest deadlifting attempt:

275 for 100 total reps. Seemed like a better idea at the beginning than it did by the time I got to the 3rd set and was sitting on the ground wondering if I should go out the back door an puke. Kept it together though and got 100 total reps. And I have been paying for every since. Good stuff!
